Dava Behrens, Broker
I’m Dava Behrens; a licensed real estate broker in the state of Oregon.
I love my job and the wonderful people I meet and interact with. And absolutely want to help people, solve problems and have fun doing it.
I have lived in Corvallis for more than 20 years and I love it here. The weather, the natural green landscaping, Oregon State University, the close proximity to the coast and the mountains, the wonderful people, and the community I call home. I love it all.
I’ve been in real estate since I was 19, I was originally licensed in California while I was going to school. I worked in mortgage banking for a long time (20+ years). You were required to have a real estate license in California to be a lender.
In 1991 my family moved to Corvallis where I worked as a loan officer/underwriter and eventually supervised the real estate loan department at the OSU Federal Credit Union (job expanded to other areas while I was in it).
I decided to become self-employed and joined Coldwell Banker Valley Brokers in late 1998. I have been with them since. I am a leader in production in the local market and with Coldwell Banker.
I’m known as many things to different people. Wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter, friend, real estate maven, scrap-booking buddy, amateur gardener, neighbor, mermaid collector, crazed photographer, and many more.
I’m a sports fan, but only when it comes to the Beavs. I will gladly wear black and orange to show my support! I love to garden and play with plants. My favorite flower are orchids, but I also have an affinity for succulents. Antique shopping is another pastime I enjoy, especially when I find something to plant those succulents in!
I am thoroughly involved within my community. I support local organizations like the Arts Center, Corvallis Boys and Girls Club, Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir, and the Linn-Benton Community Holiday Food Drive. As I’ve already said, I’m a (southern) California transplant and I still have a deep appreciation for the ocean, surfing, and Woodie cars.
